[QUOTE=Baron Von Zeppelin;4756573]Thanks for sharing those details with us Racer81x.
Would be great to see pics of such an interesting car in unusual colors.
Has he ever mentioned why he went with Turquoise Roof ?

He never mentioned why he chose that combination, I think just for something different, his first 3 brand new cars were all solid color, then he had a new 66, and a new 67 tempest both were black with a gold painted top 326 HO with heavy duty 3speed, then he got the black and turquiose ram air bird untill late 70 or early 71 and got a new 71 black with gold painted top 455 HO T-37

He sold the black/turquiose ram air bird to a guy from our town who worked as a lineman for a electric company, and he drove it for a couple years and sold it to another guy he worked with who transfered to another town.
My dad had last seen the car in the late 70's or early 80's as he was driving past a gas station in a town in mid western iowa,(name withheld for now), he looked over and seen a guy putting gas in it, and pulled in and talked to to the guy that owned it for a couple minutes, the guy was planing on repainting it, and keeping it the same color combination.

Cammer, I was with my dad when he looked for the car in the late 80's or early 90's, but I was either in elementary or middle school then, and don't remember the town that we checked out that the that the car was last seen in. I will ask dad when he gets back from colorado on sunday and PM you the name of the town.
