My brother had a modified 77 'vette in '77-79 time frame with a roller cammed 350, super T-10 and 5.14 rear gear. It also had twin nitrous systems on it ( they were smaller back then ) and it had the chrome header side pipes on it too. It was fun to drive around town, he called it his "cocktail racer" as he bar hopped with it primarily.
At the time, those header systems were referred to as 'taco pipes' around here. The car was real loud with that gear and the side exhaust. Many who rode in it were intitiated by burning the back of their calf getting out, including me.

I remember seeing ads in national magazines for these header side pipes available for 400 firebirds but, never saw a set in person. Has anyone ever seen a Firebird with these header side pipes like the 'vettes had?
