Default Correct positioning of splitters on 79-81

Hard to get a good idea as any angle makes them look different. I have a side shot on one and looks like the rear of the bhack tip is even with the back edge of the side marker light.

Do they point straight down or angled out some. In some shots of cars looks like you can barely see the main pipe where the two split off.

What is the closest? Putting splitters back on the 81 car while the rear was out. Cutting and splicing the mandrel bent Dynomax pipes. The PYPES adapters look liek they put their splitters too far back.

The pictures I have of my 78 back when it still had srock tailpipes are all at angles and there looks like a slight difference due to the different rear bumper on the earlier cars also.
