I thought I'd post some pics.

The first is the salaried staff of the Pontiac Motors Foundry taken in 1945. My grandfather is in the first row, 5th from the right. He worked there from 1940 to 1965.

The second was taken in the Pontiac foundry, of the machines in the core room. My dad was a foreman in that area as was my grandfather. Those machines made the cores using what was called the hot box process.

The third is of Pontiac supervisors, foreman, area managers from all over the Pontiac complex, taken for a United Way fundraiser in 1975. Quite a contrast in style compared to '45!
My dad is in the back row, second from the right, with the mustache and big sideburns.
He was a foreman in the foundry as well.
He worked there from 1962 until 1987.

Since I work for GM, I guess that makes me 3rd generation, GM employee, but alas, not a Pontiac Motors employee!
If you asked my grandfather or dad where they worked, they'd answer Pontiac Motors, with no mention of GM.
