Default Temp sender in Edelbrock head?

Greetings, I'm getting ready to install the Edelbrock E-street EFI on my '79 T/A and I have a question. I'm running E-heads and the RPM manifold and I currently have the temp gauge sending unit in one of the threaded holes and the heater core hose in the other hole in the cross-over.

I intend to use the current temp sender location for the sender to the EFI ECU. That leaves me no place for my gauge sending unit.

Any reason I couldn't install the gauge sending unit in one of the rear holes where the heater hose would normally go?

I know, I could just move the heater hose to the head but I like it where it is as I feel it promotes more even cooling as the coolant from both banks flows rear to front before it exits to the radiator.

Thanks, Gary
