There's a car show at the VA Hospital in North Chicago on Saturday, July 19. Registration begins at 11 am -- but early arrivals are expected -- and the show ends around 3. I spoke to the contact person, Ken List, and he said that the staff brings patients down to check out the cars at about 1. He said that they don't advertise a lot, but all car folks are welcome. This is the 11th year for the show. I'm surprised I had never heard about it before. The hospital entrance is on the east side of Green Bay Rd., just south of Rte. 137 (Buckley Rd.)
