For years it's been a superstition that green is a bad luck omen on race cars, anyone besides me notice she does better when her car isn't green? Same with Junior when he picked up other sponsors beside Mt Dew and his car was other than green he seemed to Dew better.......................LOL
Yes, I do believe green is a bad luck color on a race car. My 69 GP dirt car was white when I got it from the wrecking yard. They painted the door jambs and did a good job of color changing it. I was so damn mad when I started tearing it down and found out it was originally a Verdoro green car. In 3 years I only won 1 race with that car and blew too many engines to count. Compared to my 67 GTO in my signature that I won 13 races within 2 years. I've owned other green street cars that were also incredibly unlucky, I will never buy one any longer, no matter how good a deal it is. NO more green cars in my driveway.
