I took the day off today and decided to drop the top on the Judge clone and go for a ride. The wife asked me to make my trip useful and stop to pick up a pizza at the grocery store for lunch on my way home. I always park a fair distance away from other cars in the grocery store lot, and when I walked out of the store I could see a truck parked near my car and a camera being held out the window. As I got closer, the gentleman driving the truck asked me if the car was mine and complemented me on the appearance. We talked for a moment and then he began to tell me about the kid he knew in high school whose mom bought him a brand new Judge coupe after the passing of his dad who was a firefighter killed in the line of duty. He went on to explain that it was orange, just like mine and had the 389 tri-power with a 4 speed. When I asked him which owner did the engine swap, he adamantly stated that it was the original engine because his mother bought it brand new for the boy in 1974. At that point, I knew that the best way to participate in the conversation was with my mouth shut.
