Well the M22 transmission has come back from Dennis Maroudas (DME LLC) and it looks good. He installed a master rebuild kit, rebuilt the shifter, replated the shifter, shift rods and reverse lockout, and replaced (free of charge) the heavily worn front bearing retainer with a barely worn used GM piece. In addition, at some point all the fasteners in the transmission had been replaced with aftermarket stainless bolts and he replaced these with correct replated fasteners. The guy is good. The trunnions on the shift rods are replated which I think differs from original, but I can probably live with that.
