Well, a few things got done.. I am beginning to enjoy the "benefits" of having a 15 year old driver though. My daughter Mini Me started out with my wife late yesterday morning to run errands and only made to the stop sign at the corner of our property before they were sidelined with a flat. Got it pulled, marked it with crayon, loaded it in my F350 and sent them to the tire store. Mini me drove the F350 Crew Cab Long Bed diesel which amazed me, but she loved it. They got home and the tire got fixed. She wanted to then drive around the neighborhood so we took my Suburban. She did great except when it came time to back up our driveway and whe ended up leaving it in a bush. This morning I woke up after a torrential rain storm to find that the west facing window on the F350 was down, and the sunroof on the Suburban was open....Uggg. I bet that will not happen again.
On the Black Car pieces and parts the A/C compressor is now done, the exhaust ports on the heads have gotten the fist coat of POR15, the front and rear sway bar bushing brackets have gotten coated with RPM, and an original 4 core manual radiator is coming my way. The A/C compressor looks really good. MPD installed a double lip Teflon seal, and it got painted with low gloss OER black. The old paint was removed using Brake Kleen. I also found a correct water pump with a decent date code range to replace the incorrect 488296 pump currently on the motor. It's being shipped to a Member for a rebuild. Here's some pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
