It's critical to get a low pressure drop filter setup. You're going to need lots of oil to your bearings and a restrictive filter forces more oil to go over the pump bypass.

I'd be inclined to use a dual spin-on filter setup with -10 minimum hoses. Make sure the filters have bypass valves in them. Use a Fram HP filter or similar that is designed for low restriction. You don't want a street filter that is designed to filter out the small micron particles.

System 1 filters are fairly restrictive.

The Boss Bird doesn't have a filter in the engine circuit at all.
