1968 GTO clone

I am looking into purchasing a 68 GTO clone, 72 455HO/TH400 in it, PW and front disc brakes..
What are the problem areas on these cars?
What is different from a LeMans/Tempest to a GTO for that year?
Rear end different?
I don't know much about those year cars.
