The wiring diagram in the 71 manual shows a ground lead off of the housing and grounded to the metal trunk tail panel.
Is this grounding lead supposed to be permanently attached to the lamp housing or is it attached by way of a the screws that secure the lamp housing to the tail panel? The lamp works once I attached a ground lead to the base of the housing but I wanted to try and replicate the correct method of grounding. Thanks in advanced Larry
