American Racing recommended 4.5"BS with these tires and wheels on this car and then I increased that by .25" for front disc brakes. Since my engine has a lot lot of aluminum I cut one full coil off of stock MOGG 5244 front coils (stock 4 speed with A/C springs).

Hey folks. So guess what? I checked when I had ball joints done last month and my front springs were both not seated correctly. I had them properly set in place and that lowered the front end A LOT. So much so that now my front tires rub on the bolts to the chrome fender trim on bumps while the wheel is turned.

I've got 215/60x15 BFG's on there mounted on Cragar S/S 15x7 with 4" BS.

My question is this: If Carl's 4.75" BS wheel with 215's doesn't rub but my 225's with 4" BS does, what size tire should I change to in order to alleviate the rub? Is 215/70 going to clear? I wanted 205/70 but it doesn't look like they make that size so I'd have to change brands I guess, but I like the BFG RWL look. They also make 215/65 but I think I'll need to go down to 205. Not sure.

And I don't mind raising up the front a bit since my rake it more severe than I like now. Rears are 275x50.
