Matt, can't even imagine a 40 mile run.

I was doing testing on Mrs. Orcutt's Driveway in California quite a few years ago for a (CARB Required) AERO Horsepower Number. So we asked a team of CHIPs to watch over us and keep the rubber-neckers away from the testing. Link to the location and driveway: http://www.caranddriver.com/features...cutts-driveway

So I am sitting in the Passenger Seat along with the shotgun, the radio, and a bunch of other stuff outfitted in those cars, as you well know.
So we hear over the radio that a child was reported "kidnapped" at a airport about 20 miles away so CHIP units to respond immediately. So I say "let me out". The Officer says "no time for that" so off we go at warp speed. As fast as that CHIPS Mustang would travel on US-40 headed for Barstow-Dagget Airport. Serious ride for 20+ miles.
High MPH speedometer and it was topped out for those 20 miles. I kept thinking I hope these are not those POS F/S recall Tires at the time.

Thanks for your efforts protecting your fellow citizens.

Tom V.
