Greg,

Here's the only close up photo I have of the rally stripes on my car before I started the restoration. Clearly they are not to the factory specs we deciphered from the assembly manual. I'm sure they are not factory original as the car was definitely repainted prior to my purchase. And I think the stripes were applied as tape. I wonder how the factory actually applied the Rally Stripe option, decal, paint or tape?

I like the black rally stripes, particularly in my case with triple white scheme. I think it accentuates the "coke bottle" styling, but is subtle from a distance. You hardly notice them in the old side view photo of my car.

Based on these old pics not sure I will go with the factory specs. As you've been wrestling with, kinda like them a little closer together than the 0.25". You also got to wonder, unless they were decals, how accurately the factory was at following specs for applying the stripes.

I'm going to look through my car show photos to see if I can find some other examples of the stripes.
