All 1965 GTO’s came with the top finger guard, except for an air condition optioned car.
The AC cars required a full metal fan shroud. The finger guard did not come with the shroud. There was another factory fan shroud made of a thick fiber plastic #9774621. This was used for the trailer package or field-installed AC. Pontiac GTO restoration guide, page 366. |
