Yep, I would say it is pretty much impossible to have a factory machine stamped carb come out with number like that. Not just out of line up and down, but some of them slightly tilted.

Kenth knows his carbs very well by the way.

Here is the number and date stamp on a NOS 704 carb from 1971.
