We have a bunch of rotten and missing vacuum lines to replace on our '74 Ventura. I'm not well versed in smog-era Pontiacs. Can anyone tell me what this thing on the intake does? The vacuum lines go to the advance canister on the distributor and the carb. It's clearly missing a vacuum line on the front, but I'm not sure where it's supposed to go. Is it some kind of solenoid that manages vacuum advance?
