Default Opinions please, 4 speed linkage replacement with lockout.

the car is a 71 LeMans with what appears to be a 67 Muncie in it and a tilt column from a 70-72 Grand Prix, I believe. The linkage is a mish mash of rods from I guess different years , it works as it is but I would like to make it right at the same time I am rebuilding the Comp Plus shifter in the car. The reverse lights work on a switch that has a plunger that works off the reverse rod and is bolted to the shifter.

What I am looking for is a complete set up or parts to make this work the way GM planned it. One of my concerns is that GP column, that probably is an Auto column, will a manual lockout work on it? I do have a chevy tilt here also that I could use If that would work better than the GP. As it is I can't get the key to go to the Accessory position, but I think that may be just a adjustment that I need to work out on the column.
I have seen some great looking shifter rods online that have a much more modern pattern and adjustment methods built into them, maybe I should go that route?

Thanks for your help, Mark
