On the SST trans it looks like they mill a opening for the link to pass thru- from the shifter bottom to the internal shift rails. How do they seal up the mod ?
On the OP noise complaint, you need to duplicate the noise on a lift or jackstands and use a mechanics stethescope and listen to components. That could be gear clash in the trans which to a point is normal. John |
