Default Two More Engines Dyno Tested - Pleasing Results

Hello PY'ers.

I had a good week testing two of my engines on the dyno. One is for myself to install in a 1974 Formula 455, the other is for my friend for his 1964 Tri-Power 4 speed GTO. Thought to share the information for the enthusiasts and builders out there.

Formula engine..

455 based (465 ci) 485428 block. .040 over. 24.5 CC dish Butler/Ross pistons. Eagle 6.625 rods. 103 Crank. Dan Barton 70 CC early RP Edelbrocks 2.200/1.650 valves. 10.2:1 CR. Old Faithful V1 cam. HS 1.65 rockers. Comp 857 HR lifters. Port matched KRE Northwind, BG 850 downleg Mighty Demon, Hooker 4202. 91 octane. 600HP at 5800 and 590 TQ at 4900-5000.

GTO engine..

455 based (467 ci). 485428 block. .030 over. 6cc relief Butler/Ross pistons. Eagle 6.800 rods. Eagle cast steel 4.250 Crank. My hand ported 87 CC RP Edelbrocks 2.110/1.660 valves. 10.4:1 CR. Butler HR 230/236 112 LSA cam. Scorpion 1.65 endurance rockers. Lunati (Morel) HR lifters. KRE Trade-Wind w/ 3 2BBL Holleys. Hooker 4202. 91 octane. 545 HP at 5600-5700 and 550 TQ at 4300.

I think they turned out great, ran like champions with no leaks or issues to speak of. Lots of interesting discoveries along the way as always. Ask away if any interest.

Last attachment shows overlay of the 4 engines tested over the last year. All of them turned out really well, and shows how easy it is to make respectable power out of this venerable engine.
