IMO E-85 has its place and it's a very narrow one. I know a handful of guys that compared E-85 to racing gas at the dragstrip.... everyone went faster with race fuel. I know one professional builder that melted a piston while following advice from a popular E-85 carburetor builder tuning an engine on a dyno. The only reason he followed the advice was due to the engine being so far down on power compared to the race gas.
