I'm a long-time member here at PY but new to the Darkside. I have owned my 1977 Grand Prix since 1982. My 72 Lemans Sport convertible since 1987. I have a 1994 Grand Prix with the B4U package since 1997. In 2013 I bought my 1979 Trans Am. I still have all these cars. Last week I bought a 1965 Grand Prix. This car has been on my bucket list for a long time because my dad bought two 65 GP's back in the 70's. I learned to drive a stick in one of those when I was 15. Also, 1965 was my birth year. I have always told my wife that I wanted a car older than me. This car I bought was built in the 4th week of March making it 3 weeks older than I am.
I don't know much yet except that it was built in Kansas City Kansas and sold by a dealer in Edmond Oklahoma. I' m still waiting for the PHS documents to come back. The odometer says 95,000 miles but from the looks of the suspension parts, I bet its 195,000 miles. I am going back original except color. Keeping the drum brakes and 14-inch tires and wheels although if I find a nice set of 8 lugs, that would be cool. I'm keeping the fender skirts too. My work on this will be slow but I will post pictures when I accomplish something. Paul
