You may want to dump the fuel in it then. Or take it for a long highway drive and burn it out.

No eth fuel is a good thing regardless, but even it has the same issues with the seasonal additives.

I agree with the comments about plastic filter and filter by the tank.

You may also want to inspect all the fuel lines too, since it is a new-to-you car.
