There's a better/safer way to install them.
I did it this way when I converted the 63 Tempest to 4-wheel Disc and at the same time installed custom +2" Front Coils from Coil Spring Specialties.
I used a tie-rod fork inserted between the opposing wire ropes to tweak the rotation into perfect position.
