Side topic.

When determining your total system capacity.

Note most common Pontiac oil filters do not hold 1 quart oil.
Fill yours, let it soak up the oil. Tap it, then do it again a few times. Note how much oil is used in doing so.

Do you run a remote filter set up.....

Calculating the amount of oil inside the lines to and from the remote filter and inside the filter itself is always a good idea.
My remote filter lines have about 1/4 quart inside them.

How much oil is up inside a running engine ?
