What kind of electric fans are those? Where did you get them and how much? Could I get a similar setup for my 66 GTO? That setup looks so sweet with the Rodney Red. What temp you usually run at with that setup? What thermostat you use? 180?

I bought a '95 Ford Windstar dual electric fan set up in the local wrecking yard. With the exception on blowing one fuse and getting up to 212°F, I have not seen it above 187°F on the street in 95°F. I reached 202°F racing at the Grove at the T-N-T, but it came right back down.

I also upgraded to a 94 amp alternator. I run separate wires to each fan and each one has a separate 30 amp relay and 30 amp inline fuse. Use 10 ga. wire with a 30 amp circuit. I have a 170°F thermal fan switch that I got in a kit from Summit. The fan switch has 1/2" NPT threads and screws right into the head. I don't like the type of sensors that sense the air temperature at the radiator. I want to know what the water temperature in the motor is.

Vance, I ran the hot leads directly from the battery to the relay, is this bad?

I've modified a pair of 97 TA LT1 electric fans to fit my aluminum radiator. The darn thing stays at 190 and won't move any higher. I'm also using a thermal switch and relay setup made by hayden. If you look at the pics you can see the brackets and sensor fitting I had to weld in to accomodate the fans. I've posted some pics of the install here.
