The trick I have heard of (but never tried myself) is:
1. Find a dowel (or use the frontshaft of the transmission) that is a slip fit into the pilot bushing. 2. Fill the bushing center with thick grease. 3. Align the dowel with the hole in the bushing and give it a sharp rap with a hammer driving the grease down into the hole. The grease is supposed to pop the bushing out. Be sure to wear eye protection. |

I've tried the grease pack-'n-pound trick. Works great.
