Ron @ Procar has been responding to all my e-mails and is mailing me a sample of the material so I can compare it with the stock interior. He did not want to e-mail any pics because it is just not the same colour as the actual material. I must say that so far Procar has been very good to deal with.
If anyone has pics of their Rally 1000 series in a 2nd gen Firebird please post. The last thing I want is for these seats to look out of place against the stock interior.

Y'all must be really skinny or really young.
Those seats all look very uncomfortable. I would have thought they were great when I was 21. Now (still only 38), I like flat, wide seats, such as come in large sedans and SUVs. My police car was comfortable, and the original seats in my 66 are comfortable, too. Those seats with the bottoms that flare up on the sides like that are terribly uncomfortable.

tbh, my aftermarket seats are immeasurably more comfortable than the stock seats. I also don't have to brace myself when going around turns as the seats actually hold me.

Got a pair of Fiero seats from the boneyard for $30/ea. Had them recovered and the foam redone for $100/ea. They also accepted the stock bucket seat tracks and I only had to enlarge the holes for the floorpan bolts a tad.

Well, as an update I decided when I get to interior I'm going with Arizen's Recaro-style seats. They're in budget and they sure look nice!

I'm running Recaro Ideal "C" seats in my one car. With stereophonic headrests (speakers in the headrest). The seats have electric recline and forward, three airbags that can be filled with air, and three buttons (blue color) that let the air out, so you can adjust for your back. The sides and the bottom, for your butt and legs, as well as your lower sides, can be made to fit tighter, or looser, again, to how you want it to fit you.
I also got matching material for the visors and the rear seats. With a Hooker Roll Bar, I also installed racing seatbelts. Here's a picture: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/warbir...&.dnm=b09b.jpg And, another: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/warbir...&.dnm=b7cc.jpg And, a close up of my "extras": http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/warbir...&.dnm=3ff2.jpg I also installed 1984 15th Anniversary Trans Am Recaros into my girlfriend's 1991 Firebird with the Sport Appearance Package, but as of yet, no photos. Thanks!
They are my second set! The car got stolen, and the seats and T-Tops taken off and never found! They tried to total the car, but I showed up with a box of thophys and a box of photo albums! The seats were a total of $2,500 each, with speaker headrests and custom brackets! The rear material was about $400 for the material. I installed them onto the foam myself. The visors were just extra material, and ran only $75. That baby is now protected by a locked garage, dogs, and a 44 magnum! :^) George |

Teej, those seats look awesome and is exactly what I am going to do with my '66. Any details or hints on how to get them into the car and mounted? Same for the back seats and how do they feel in the car in relation to stock seats? Did you hook up the power to them?
Thanks. |

But I believe they are shorter. Pretty sure since my TA was parked next to it in the garage.

Would it be too much to ask someone to get a measurement of the overall height of the standard 2nd gen bucket seat (77-81)and post it.
Thank you |
