RA Formulas, I know the "evidence" says white paint, but keep in mind that the plastic bits on 2nd gen TAs (wheel spoilers, front valance) were molded in color and not painted. To build a "special paint" TA would require the vendors of these plastic bits to make a special run in the special color and then get those parts to the line at the right time (really unlikely in '72). Norwood must have painted the parts in a one-off fashion and probably started with white parts.
I'd still like to see the data plate and build sheet.....

I spoke to the guy , he seems like a straight shooter . It took me 10 minutes of fun investigating work to track him down . He was in shock when I called . I aologized for ,but I had to call . He has received over 100 or so e-mails regarding the phs . I don't think he has returned any e-mails yet . He said it will be added to the auction today ,included the trim tag This might be the only documented black car . I think everyone is going to be surprised when this guy posts the build sheet ---, Now the question is how much is that car's value with that sp paint ? JM notes on the phs docs paint is unknown . He has a high reserve for a car . what do you think , double the value ? over 100,000 ? the car was parked from 1977 and never been repainted . What you see on the bottom spoiler is the factory white coat . He claims it's real deal . All the decals are still the factory original he claims . Well I put my bid in hoping this guy is not a nut case . I am local, so inspection should be interesting . He want's to let his auction run all the way and I don't blame him
