The best source I know of for a wiring diagram is the '70 Pontiac Firebird service manual supplement (the main 70 Pontiac manual did not have the Firebird included as it was a mid-year introduction). Unfortunately the wiring diagram is not in color, but does have the colors written in type for each wire, for example "blk" for black, "blu" for blue, etc. I believe the Firebird supplement manual has been reprinted and is available from various restoration parts suppliers.

FYI: To ANYBODY that owns ANY model 1970 Firebird.

The 70 Firebird Service Manual Suppliment is just a WEALTH of information on our favorite year 2ndgen Bird.

It has a TON of interesting charts,diagrams & specs that you can't find all together( in one book) anywhere else.

Reprints & originals can be had on Ebay regularly in the 10.00-15.00 range.
(cover is green & it is a Pontiac (GM) publication)

If you own a 70 Firebird/Trans am & work on it,you will LIKE this book.

It's especially helpful if you are restoring a car with missing/incorrect parts as it does contain many references to which parts were specific to each Firebird model.
