I came in very late on this thread.

B-J gets 18% of the selling price for the car? Is all of that collected from the seller, or does the buyer and seller each pay a percentage to B-J?

If the market goes soft, I imagine it would cut into B-Js profits pretty heavily. If prices are down, the last thing I would do is take a chance on giving up 18% to buy my car back because it went too cheap. That could keep quality cars away.

Overall, have the prices been lower, roughly equal, or higher than last year's results? I don't have cable so I have no idea how it's going.

I believe it's a 10% buyer and 8% seller fees. And 500 bucks just to be a bidder.
