"What is this dag 213 stuff?"

...I don't know either, but have you tried a Google search?

Y'all got me wondering about this DAG goo too, so I looked it up. We all know now! :P

"Dag 213 is designed to provide controlled electrical resistance properties. Dag 213 is a dispersion of finely divided graphite pigment in an epoxy resin solution. When properly cured, it has excellent adhesion to epoxy circuit boards, bushings, plastics and ceramics. Dag 213 also has excellent wearing properties. It provides chemical resistance to oils and many solvents, but not to enamel strippers.

Dag 213 as a lubricant coating provides clean, dry, long-wearing, and superior maintenance-free lubrication for a wide range of light to medium load applications. A thin film of Dag 213 keeps wear uniform and reduces friction on mating metal parts without requiring increased manufacturing tolerances. Components are protected from metal-to-metal contact even in applications approaching boundary lubrication, reducing the risk of damage due to partial or complete seizure. Formulated from processed micro-graphite and epoxy resin, Dag 213 forms tightly adherent coatings on many types of substrates. In addition to high lubricity, Dag 213 coatings exhibit extremely good wear resistance to oils and solvents (except enamel strippers)"

Got a few pics from a collectors 66' auto 2+2, look at the linkage and tell me what you see, i don't know what's factory and what's custom, i just want something that works that doesn't look homemade, the other pics are at the shop, got the block off plates made and ready, the quarter panel pic is for arohed or anyone that needs it, looks nasty to me and has bondo slathered on there as well but someone might want it.

Linkage in pictures definately NOT factory.

The factory auto Trips would have had a huge distillery of vacuum hoses, canisters & dashpots. I have yet to see one that is still on a car after 40 years.

My '66 GP has got a set-up with solid rods that snap together & are rigid. I believe it is a factory 4 speed linkage converted to use on an Automatic.

The Pics you have there look to me like that linkage would be subject to binding up. The angle of the linkage with respect to the plane of the outside of the 3 carbs is critical from my experience. The drooping on that rig is asking for trouble. I have to stomp the crap out of mine to engage it & that does not look like something I want to be stomping on.

when i get a chance ill snap a few shots of my end carbs. the stuff mentioned in google sounds more like a lube where what iam talking about is a silicone type stuff but made to hold upto gas. it just brushes on around the edge of the blades and where they meet the bore. there use to be a guy name....i think carbdr on ebay that use to sell small tubes of it for about 20 bucks, its real hard to find

Car looks much better with the parts car chrome on it, it's in pretty sorry shape but looks decent from 20 feet, can't afford to have it redone right now.
Got the manifold on the parts car, still need distributor, vacuum line parts, linkage parts and various brackets to hold it all before trying to start it, i'll keep updating as i go along. Thanks to all for the info. provided.
