How late in July was this one built?

My car was built in July and the pass quarter is the newer style with more of the triangular look and the drivers side has the square early quarter. Both are original quarters to the car.

call me dumb, but if in July we started seeing "the early style stock" being used up(with "used up" being the operative part), then why wouldn't we see more later 1970 cars like this and some with the entire 71 style-especially the RA IV's made late in 1970 and early 1971...??If they were running out of 70 style quarters at some point, then you would think all cars after that would start using the 71 style quarters.. can't imagine they would start making 70 style after they ran out so late in production, especially seeing how 71 style worked just fine... I have only inspected 3 RA IV's, and one was made in late 70, eaither right before the strike or right after(can't remember) and that late of a car didn't have the 71 style quarters??were the RA IV's bodys assembled earlier in 1970 and set aside until production started in July???like I said call me dumb...and I quite possibly am...., but doesn't make sense to me......

Also, one more 70 only part... the rubber/plastic plug on the cowl ,one each side .....next to the fisher body plate on the drivers side. 71 started using a rubber one that has the part number on it, 70 was sort of a generic looking plastic plug without part number embossed like 71 up used..

Another 70 only feature: No Firebird emblem on the door panel where the manual window handle would have otherwise been. Don't know if there are cars with later build dates than mine (04B) that also have these door panels, but I would like to know if there are cars with earlier build dates that do have the emblem. Could have just been an anomaly and not early 70 Firebird specific.

Ok My car was built in 06D and the pass quarter is the old style with square early quarter and the drivers side has triangular. Both are original quarters to the car. I have nver notice this in all the years I have had this car, I bought it back 87' from a guy who bought it new I think.

I just acquired a 70 Trans Am that appears to be very original - thanks to this post i have learned a lot about what to check. Both quarters have the type indention pictured below - is this the correct square type? Thanks in advance.

Yes, that is the correct shape that all but a few late built '70 Firebirds had.
