as far as I'm aware (backed up by MPC's ect) the vacuum resivior was for all '70-l78 Forumas;
the vacuum diaphram(?) on the carb had two lines for the 264/263 carbs - one connected to the cab body, the other (outside line) connected directly to the resiviour.

the resivior does look like an AC part, but is a single line deal (can only be connected on one side) - I believe the AC vacuum resiviors were actually a different part.

FYI,

My 563 carb vacuum break has the two vacuum hose nipples as well, and the outer port is capped. This carb came off a 70 Formula, non a/c, 4 speed, Van Nuys car, built in March.

Here are some pictures of the vacuum reservoir I took off the a/c auto Formula.

The last picture is of my firewall on my non a/c Norwood formula.

I'll chime in with my worth, on the quarter panel deal. I believe it may very well have been possible for a very late built '70 Firebird to have one "1970" style quarter & one "1971" style on the other side. At some point in time, it is quite conceivable the early stock was used up & the newer design was phased in to production. There would have been no reason for Pontiac to match quarters, side for side, when the difference is so insignificant. It would also stand to reason, that there were many more late cars done this same way.
How late in July was this one built?

Rock,...the only way I know how to tell an original Rochester dual line pull-off from an aftermarket part, is to examine the link arm. If it's a Rochester part, it'll have a 'RP' or 'RPD' stamped into it, just like you will see on other parts like the air valve butterfies & the choke valve.

My car was built in July and the pass quarter is the newer style with more of the triangular look and the drivers side has the square early quarter. Both are original quarters to the car.

the EES sticker was not on the gas cap, it goes on the inside of the liscence plate. Look and you will see a triangular like indention, which matches the red sticker you are talking about...

call me dumb, but if in July we started seeing "the early style stock" being used up(with "used up" being the operative part), then why wouldn't we see more later 1970 cars like this and some with the entire 71 style-especially the RA IV's made late in 1970 and early 1971...??If they were running out of 70 style quarters at some point, then you would think all cars after that would start using the 71 style quarters.. can't imagine they would start making 70 style after they ran out so late in production, especially seeing how 71 style worked just fine... I have only inspected 3 RA IV's, and one was made in late 70, eaither right before the strike or right after(can't remember) and that late of a car didn't have the 71 style quarters??were the RA IV's bodys assembled earlier in 1970 and set aside until production started in July???like I said call me dumb...and I quite possibly am...., but doesn't make sense to me......

Also, one more 70 only part... the rubber/plastic plug on the cowl ,one each side .....next to the fisher body plate on the drivers side. 71 started using a rubber one that has the part number on it, 70 was sort of a generic looking plastic plug without part number embossed like 71 up used..

rock if you're worried about perfect appearance, didn't these cars have a yellow throttle return spring?

I have given up on perfect appearance, when the original parts are missing its a recovery mission. I think that I have spent enough time and money on this $10k car. Having come to the realiztion that it will never be 100% perfect or correct. Its a pontiac which in its day was a winter car for most. I will have to settle for 95% correctness but I can only accept 100% in function. I drove the car last saturday for the first time and I ran as good as it did when it was new. Just a few more minor details and it will be where it should have been when I bought it (DRIVEABLE).

i am with unruhjonny, the return springs were yellow. no biggie, just get a spray can of yellow paint and repaint. I bet you got that blue spring from Ames??<> don't know why they still sell the blue one for our cars, they have to know by now that the correct one is yellow.
Also, ROCK.....pm me.. I am 99% sure I have one extra of the a/c bracket you need.and i wouldn't worry about weather or not the vacuum break is original, looks close enough to me. I have a NOS one in the box and it has a similar plastic cap on the end as yours in the picture does. I would suggest you buy a set of original style ass. v-belts from our sponsor or ames, they really look good and sort of complete an engine compartment...but yes, unrujonny is correct, yellow throttle return spring..

thanks RAlll, could you pm me with a price for the bracket. I will paint that spring yellow thanks for the advice, as the belts go I saw the original style dated belts but it wasn't a primary concern. When this green bird arrived there was so many missig and broken parts that any new belts would get the job done.
