I have an original base plate from a '74 GTO. This is the steel plate that is actually the top portion of the air cleaner. Some surface rust. Can email picture. Asking 125.00 + actual shipping. I am located in WV, 25271.

Can you post a picture of that baseplate? Not sure what it looks like. I might try making one up at some point for mine.

Did some of these shakers have Vac operated flaps in the back? The one I have has plastic covers.

'70-'72 T/A's used a dual solenoid(controlled by switch on throttle lever on carb.) The '74 GTO had a single solenoid(controlled by a vac/elec switch remote from carb.)
The flapper door on the inlet side of the shaker is metal covered with a thin closed cell foam padding on the side that faces out. I was going to use this for my '74 SD to make it as Pontiac would have done, if not for the drive by noise standards. I ended up getting a complete shaker in much better shape and transfered the top of the TA's shaker to the bottom of the other one. If I don't end up selling this I'll probably set up another spare for the T/A. |

Does anyone know where i can buy a new shaker hood and the shaker assembly? Does anyone sell new body parts specifically for the 74 GTO/Ventura?
