The engine code legend indicates auto or manual, so I thought maybe there was some hook-up issues.
Is $400 a good price. |

If your looking for a good pre-75 400 block, then you prolly could find one for 1-200 cheaper. If you are looking specifically for a 70, WT block, then yeah, that is a decent deal.

I bought a 76 manual tranny trans am 400 motor (actually a pretty rare motor as 30,000+ TA's had autos and 5500 400engineTA's had a manual that year) two weeks ago for $100.00 intake to pan. Yes, it is the suspect 557, but was code/casting and date correct for my 76 400 4-speed TA...
Anyway, 400 for just the block is prolly a little high, unless the casting/code (WT), date, etc., mean something to you... |
