I guess that if you just became interested in them and picked one up in the last few months, as with 99.9999999% of the current owners, it might be hard to belive.

If you have been in one all of your life (the 1st '77-'86, and the second from '87 to present) it's not hard at all to realize that the cars are that old. One you are where I'm at, the car is beyond value; even a $100k offer wouldn't make me consider selling.

My brother, who was about to turn 21 at the time, is the original owner. Surely he was chomping at the bit to get his hands on the car. As I recall he ordered it early in December of '69, carefully choosing which options he could afford and what color he wanted.

I'd take $100K for either my 69 GTO or 72 Formula. Then I could buy even more Pontiacs!
