I showed my Dad the shot of the GP car going down the highway and he recalled watching the GP cars out here for the Albert Park GP in the mid 50's driving on the street from a workshop in Carrum (which was way out in the sticks back then) to the track at Albert Park (an inner suburb of Melbourne). He saw Moss, Fangio etc. driving their GP cars on the street...that's pretty cool and I might not ever have heard it if it wasn't for this thread!
