You will need a different flywheel too. At least I did when I swapped the same tranny's. Different driveshaft also.

Thank you Shiney. I have a SFI flywheel for the project,but I bet it's something that would be overlooked.
I also have a few drive shafts here . Do you remember the measurement.

That was good planning on the flywheel. When I did mine I did not know I needed a different one and had to have it overnighted from the parts place $$$$. I don't remember the length of the drive shaft, but I looked in my 1968 service manual page 4C-1 and it lists it as 55.34 inches for a 2-door tempest with a turbo-hydramatic trans. It doesn't say whether that's a 350 or 400 TH.
