Dave
those wheels are pretty awful, and probably won't fit. if you want 15" wheels, get some from an astro van, they should be 15x6 and the right offset.

a used set of wheels, sandblasted and painted or powder coated black would look much better and should be in the same ballpark, price-wise...

Either way the body work on that car is sweet. I am looking forward to the day when a couple more of my cars look like that! The rest is "easy". And a lot more affordable.

sorry... had a question in another post about the trunk paint and that was the quick convenient link for me to grab.

Deadhead... I spent two years looking for a nice straight lower mileage '63 Cat before I found this one in Florida. I have complete ownership records which peg me as owner #4. All I've done since buying it was have it repainted. Currently on the hunt for a '62-63 421 to put in it.

Default 66 2+2

Here are some pictures of the new 2+2 The car is somewhat ruff. Then there is a very old picture of my first 2+2 when I was just a kid starting out in Hotroding. Miss that car This is the only picture I have of that car.

Rocco-
Love the old-school flames on the '65!
Good luck with your new toy.

Default 66 2+2

I think I'm going to paint them on the 66 as well. Like old times. That 65 2+2 was fast. I would run 12.34 in almost stock trim. Just blueprinted and we (me and Nunzi Romano) bored it over 30 and used 428 pistons with 67 heads. GTO header fit right in place. I would have run faster but the polyglass tires would just burn up and melt. I didn't want to replace the 8 lugs on it and since I had a 65 GTO race car. It didn't make sense. I would tow my race car with the 2+2. I still own the 65 GTO I owned that car since I was 16 years old. Its waiting in storage for a resto back to stock. Every ones car come first then its mine. That's just the way it is.

I went with poverty caps and painted them black. I think it looks good. I am not a big fan of the strip of white wall on my car. Either all white wall or no white wall. I guess it has to do with the car, car color and rims. As the 2+2 above this post looks hot with them....

That's the way it is with everyone who turns a wrench. I like your 'vert. That's gonna make a nice ride.

Love seeing everyone's car pics guys. It's been a while since I've posted around here but am starting to get back into it. "Life" got in the way in the meantime! Hope all you guys are doing great!
