Bought an undersink system 5 years ago at Lowes for my well water. Ran a line to the icemaker, the ice cubes look like clear glass. Have only changed filters once. It filters about 2-3 gallons a day. Beware it does put a lot of water down your drain in the process.

Do these regenerate like water softeners do? Are they fairly easy to install if I where to do it myself?
