Well it cant be any longer than this!!!!
 I wonder if I could use a A-Body crossmember as it is lower... Hmm.. I know that I would have to lengthen the ends, but might be worth it. Also , you are hammering the floor near the end of the transmission, right? How much hammering? Is it a few good whacks or should I pack a lunch.? Dave
