I finally found my clutch+brake pedal ass.
I pulled them out of a 63 at a junk yard years ago
at the time I didn't think there was a differance untill
i went to install them. I can make them work I just don't
want the modify them if I can find a set of 62-padals.
Does anyone have a picture to show the diff so I'll know
what I need to do to modify or just start with another set.
I've got a few of a-body pedals I can make work if I have to.
A picture would help a lot to see what i need to do to a set
of other pedals. Thanks.

I would be interested in buying your '63 clutch/brake pedal assembly if you decide to go with a '62 assembly.

Default 63 hot rod update

Finally back working on my project. Today, started installing the interior insulation for a cooler, quieter ride. The material is from a company called Fat Mat (fatmat.com). It is easy to cut with a carpet knife and install since it has self sticking backing. I think it goes for about $80 for 50 sq. ft. on ebay.

Next the wiring harness gets installed. For floor covering, I am thinking of using molded vinyl floor covering from Auto Interior and Upholstery. (www.auto-interior.com) They make a molded vinyl covering for '63 chevy II's that should fit a Tempest with a modified tranny tunnel. Anyone know of this company or purchased stuff from them?

I figured that someone could use them, Thats why I didn't want to
modify them and try to find a set of 62 pedals. I was hoping to trade
for a set for the 62, Or sell mine to pay for the ones I need.
I'll keep you in mind grparen.

P.S. If I modify a set of a-body pedals to fit my 62 I'll sell ya mine.

Pics would really help::

Well I ended up modifing a set of a-body pedals which was very easy to do.
I had to straighten the bends in them to get them over to the left side a
little more so I could move the gas pedel also. I just cut the sheet metal
that the gas pedal was mounted to and move the hole section over and
welded it back in place. The master cly. I took that and moved it up to the
next set of bolts above the original mounting place and opened up the hole
were it went inside the fire wall. Theres two holes in the brake pedal were
the linkage attatches the rod to the master cly. It's almost as if the factory
new I was going to do this modification and my cluch peadal linkage has a
bend in it so I can poke a hole in the fire wall just next to the sterring
colume and that will be inside of the inner fender well, I'm modifing a z-bar
so it will set in the stock location also. I can't believe how easy this is
comming together after I just stood back and thought about it a little bit.

Making my 63 Tempest into a twin Turbo 474, (25.2 chassis ) just to have a little fun on the street. It will have 72mm too start with and be up grader to two 88mm when I get use to the car. Turbos are where the power is at. So I will have a lot of odd parts that will not be used.

Nice! My next engine (after the one I'm currently building) will be a twin turbo deal with 76mm's. No 25.2 chassis for me though. I think my current set up should take me as fast as I want to go.

Redoing my top end to get into the 10.50's. New heads, intake, and cam.
