Make sure to remove the pilot bushing from the crank before putting the automatic behind the engine or the torque convertor will bottom out.

Good point about the pilot bearing !
I just seen to remember (and it might have been a Chevy thing) that the locating dowel pins were in different places for stick vs. auto. I just wanted to confirm that "Yes, it is a direct bolt-in" before I buy the 400 from my friend. Thanks Guys ! ! ! ! ACE |
