Hey Greg, Jimmy and I are coming up to Dallas for PSN. Jimmy was wondering if the trailer wrap is done and if you will have it there? How 'bout fajitas and margaritas that sat. nite?

Paul

Hi Paul, unfortunately the timing hasn't worked out for the trailer wrap for PSN, primarily because of the delay in getting the stripes produced. Now that they are finally in production things are looking up for the wrap. Should have it on by Trans Am Nat's.

I'm hoping to make it to PSN but I've got after hours work scheduled for Thursday/Friday night in Killeen TX and it may spill over into the weekend depending on how things go.

I hope I make it up, and will look y'all up Saturday.

I got the funniest letter today from Stencils & Stripes. It said:

"In the past you had contacted us concerning a decal kit for your Trans Am. At the time we were out, but should you ever be in need of a kit in the future we will have them ready to ship on June 7th. Sincerely, Ralph."

ROTFLMAO!!!

Gee, only four years too late. I wonder who is supplying them to Ralph, now?

That's awesome Steve, thanks for sharing that. I didn't know Ralph was going to send out a mailer.

He hasn't given me much information on how many of his 4 year 'waiting list' of people are responding (heck I'm sure I'm on that list!) or how many he'll be ordering, but yes, TransAmStripes.net is the wholesaler for him

Very cool.

Thank you BLKBRD and everyone who is ordering, and who will be!

The stripes are still not in my hands yet, but on Monday or Tuesday I should be able to give everyone a date they will be mailing out.

I'm sorry I won't be able to make to PSN. I had hoped to make it and have stripes on hand for inspection and purchase, but timing just didn't work for that.

Update:
I'll have the stripe kits in hand early next week (week of June 18). For those of you who have already ordered, I will try to have yours in the mail before the end of that same week.

I'll post pictures of course.

Why do the blue stripes in this picture look so much deeper blue than most others, which look more aqua green?

One more update: The stripe kits will arrive Monday June 25. Purchased kits will be mailed Tuesday and Wednesday June 26, 27.

Thank you everyone for your patience. I hope, like most good things, they are worth the wait!

Speaking of waiting for the right moment to install a quality set of stripes, here's an email I received recently with an order request:

"Greg,

I'd love a stripe and decal kit for my '71 white TA. I had it partially restored and painted a few years ago (yeah, it's been naked for that long) but held off putting on stripes because I'd heard that all the aftermarket product was not up to spec.

Please let me know how I can expedite a shipment of your good stuff
."

It's notes like this that reminds me how worthwhile this effort was not just for myself but for the hobby!

The stripe kits are in! YEAH.

I have to say these stripes and letters are gorgeous. All dimensionally correct, contour cut, with the perfect clear reveal around the pin stripe.

I packaged many of the kits from the pre-production orders last night. They will be in the mail on Wednesday. Thank you everyone for your patience.
