Sometimes you can find some NOS brake shoes on ebay. I found some for our 61.

PB brakes
The PB brakes are bonded, and use heavy duty lining material. The brake shoes are original #-193 Tempest pieces. I don't worry about modern bonded brakes because they are made with bonding material that is much better than the glue was used in the "old days".
