Made this slideshow with pictures from this thread almost 2 years ago but i was to long for Y-tube. Finally took the time to try to shorten it, added some cool music. Pictures might seem to pass a bit quick but i didn't want to cut it. Had to keep it clean from pan, zooms and other enhancements to be able to keep all the pictures. See it as a recap of this thread. Enjoy.

Winter of 1976. This is our driveway after a big snow. The 57 was my uncles daily driver at the time. That is him on the ground trying to put chains on.
Last pic is my dad churning his way out in his 74 GMC while my Grandfather looks on. |

Opposite end of the driveway without snow. You can see the front corner of my 49 Chev on the left. It was my very first car,got it when i was 14. My dads 66 GTO in the garage under blankets. The 63 Plymouth was our daily driver back then. Pushbutton trans/slant 6. I think it got about 100mpg. Not really, but it did get great mileage.
And again,my uncles daily driver 57. |

Boy, I'll bet your Uncle would give a lot to have that '57 back. That's was a nice one even in the '70s.

Not sure if this was posted before, but I do not recall these things at all. This must have been a nightmare to ride, plus the fact that the brake was now the shifter! Not sure why they didn't stick with the regular pedal brake.

Anybody remember the very early 'mud-bath' days of Carlisle swap meet? This was around 1974-75 and that is all mud except where the truck is parked. This was that thick mud that pulled your boots off with every step.

i had one of these bikes and it took a whole lot of getting used to. i ended up cutting the forks off and putting extensions on it to make it a chopper and then sold it to a guy down the street. i just never really liked the steering wheel
