...the photo is original, it has been the same for the 45-50 years I have seen it, it used to hang in our local Coke plant from at least the 1950s thru the last days in the 1980s...taller tires/smaller wheels were possibly to haul a heavier load

Wow. I agree; I'm surprised they fit in the spare tire well in the fender.

That was the first thing I noticed too. They look almost like aircraft wheels and tires.

Here's a guy that's truly dedicated to the traditional "engine in the front, axle in the rear" layout. Must have been a beast to steer!
